Event Description
In recent weeks, there have been several developments in the U.S. relating to climate change including the recent signing of the Inflation Reduction Act, which provided significant funding to address climate change. Join University of Wisconsin Law School 12-1:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, via Zoom, for a discussion of these developments and their implications for climate law by legal academics and practitioners. This is the inaugural event of the Wisconsin Initiative on Law and Climate Change and is co-sponsored by the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.
Speakers include: Michael Gerrard (Columbia Law School), Alice Kaswan (University of San Francisco School of Law), Steph Tai (UW Law School) and Rebecca Bratspies (City University of New York School of Law). The moderator for the event will be Sumudu Atapattu, director of the Global Legal Studies Center at UW Law School.
