On May 19 and 20, 2022, the Interpretation in the States conference hosted by the State Democracy Research Initiative at the University of Wisconsin Law School will explore pressing questions of interpretation, especially those arising at the state level. A primary goal of this conference is to generate scholarship proposing new or different ways of thinking about questions of interpretation, with a particular emphasis on interpretation in the states. The conference will feature a panel of state supreme court justices on the afternoon of May 20, 2022. Additional details will be forthcoming.
