The UW Law School is located at the center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison
campus, with an award-winning building addition. The central part of
the building includes a dramatic four-story atrium, spacious classrooms,
a high-tech computer lab, and a beautiful new, two-story glass library
reading room. The central atrium is a place for students and faculty
to gather informally in study groups, meet for extracurricular activities,
or simply relax between classes.
The Law School's library is one of the major resource libraries on the UW-Madison campus. Its collections, hours and services are geared to the special needs of the Law School community. With a collection of over 500,000 volumes, it ranks among the top academic law libraries nationally. The print collections are complemented with access to online legal information available throughout the library. A staff of 13 librarians provides coverage for more than 70 hours a week.
