The Global Legal Studies Initiative of the Institute for Legal Studies announces the following talk: Rebuilding Bosnia-Herzegovina: The Relevance of Islamic Law by His Eminence, Dr. Mustafa Ceric, Grand Mufti of Bosnia Dr. Ceric serves as spritual leader for millions of European Muslims and enjoys an international reputation for his willingness to speak across religious lines. Thursday, April 6, 2006 at noon Lubar Commons (Room 7200 Law School) A buffet lunch will be provided starting at 11:45; the presentation will begin at 12:10. There is no need to register for this talk. Hosted by Asifa Quraishi, Assistant Professor of Law, and Charles Cohen, Director of the Lubar Institute for the Study of Abrahamic Religions (LISAR). Cosponsored by the Project for Law and the Humanities under the direction of Professor Len Kaplan. Related Conference: Dr. Ceric will deliver the plenary address at a conference hosted by LISAR April 7-8 entitled "The Ten Commandments and their Appropriations in Judaism, Christianity and Islam." Dr. Ceric's public lecture, "The Ten Commandments as a Basis for a Meaningful Jewish-Christian-Muslim Dialogue," will take place on Friday, April 7th at 8:00 in room 1100 Grainger Hall.
