The Oxford Handbook series is a highly respected print publication with original, peer-reviewed articles written by renowned scholars covering major disciplines. Recently, the UW Libraries partnered to subscribe to the Oxford Handbooks Online. Seven of the fourteen subject modules are now available as part of the campus license: Business & Management, Economics & Finance, History, Law, Linguistics, Literature, and Religion.

Browsing the Law module displays 383 detailed essays, with topics ranging from Abortion to the WTO. The Oxford Handbook series is especially strong in its coverage of comparative law issues, offering 250 articles.  In addition, the inter-disciplinary power of this database is most impressive. Articles can easily be searched across the modules. For example, a search for the term "venture capital" retrieves 223 articles in the Business module, 134 articles in Economics & Finance, plus 31 articles from the Law module.  Accessibility, authoritative scholarship, and timely updating all make the Oxford Handbooks Online an e-resource too good to miss.
