The law library now subscribes to Statutes of the Republic of Korea, an English language database that contains the full text of selected South Korean legislation. This includes the constitution, and around 800 major acts and enforcement decrees, as well as amendment history.

Users can search acts alphabetically by title, subject (labeled as “field” in the database) keyword, promulgation date and promulgation number. The “Integrated Search” is an advanced search mechanism that allows you to increase your search precision by using operators (e.g. And, Or), by specifying the statute compilation (e.g. Crimes and Criminal Procedure, Civil Affairs, etc.), and by allowing you to sort the results by date or relevancy.

To access the database, please contact a reference librarian.
