University of Wisconsin Law School third-year student Jenigh Garrett has been selected as one of the national recipients of the esteemed Fried Frank/NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund Fellowship. Fellows under this program spend two years working as an associate at the Fried Frank law firm in New York, followed by two years at the NAACP LDF as a staff attorney.

Ms. Garrett was a teacher and active in public interest work before entering law school. A special focus in law school has been the area of land loss, zoning issues and the corporate side of real estate decisions. While in law school, she has worked at a law firm and as an extern in the Land Tenure and Land Rights Program.
