 UW Law School alumnus James A. Carney and his family are averaging 57 miles per day on their cross-country bicycle trip.  But that hasn't kept him from his law practice, according to an article from the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Modern communication technology allows Carney, who earned his J.D. from UW Law School in 1985, to put in a couple hours of work each morning for the Janesville firm Carney, Davis and Thorpe, LLC.  Meanwhile, he and his family have made it from Astoria, Oregon, to Yellowstone National Park.  Their trip will take them through Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky before ending up in Virginia.
