Meredith Hudson

Meredith Hudson, a second-year student at University of Wisconsin Law School, has been named editor-in-chief of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society for 2013-14.

The student-run journal, first published in 1985 as the Wisconsin Women's Law Journal, is one of the earliest in the nation devoted to the study of women and the law.

Hudson takes over for Rukmini Vasupuram, serving as editor-in-chief for the 2012-13 academic year. Vasupuram oversaw publication of three editions of the journal, including a forthcoming spring issue devoted to the scholarship of the late UW Law Professor Jane Larson.

Editorial staff also hosts an annual symposium, which this year focused on the application of Title IX to the rights of transgender individuals.
