In some, very limited circumstances the Law School Rules
allow us to re-schedule a final examination for a student. The
applicable rule is section 6.03 at
http://law.wisc.edu/current/rules/chap6.htm#6.03.
Students must
complete a petition to re-schedule an exam and bring it to me before
November 6. The form is available at http://law.wisc.edu/current/forms.htm.
After Nov. 6, you should only submit petitions because of unforeseen or
emergency circumstances.
It's important to read the rules before submitting a petition. The
rules automatically grant a re-scheduling to students who have two
exams on one day or four exams on consecutive days or who have
religious observances on the exam day. The rules state some
circumstances in which we will not re-schedule exams and, for example,
explain that the re-scheduled exams must be later--not earlier--than
the regular exam date.
If your petition is approved, you will receive a date and time for the
re-scheduled exam from Jane Ford Bennett (Room 5106).
