WPR Talks with Meg Gaines about The Center for Patient Partnerships

For those with serious chronic and life-threatening illnesses, the health care system can be a particularly challenging place to navigate. Meg Gaines can speak to this challenge more directly than most.

Gaines, the Director of the University of Wisconsin’s Center for Patient Partnerships, was a guest recently on the Kathleen Dunn show, where the topic was best practices for making health related decisions, and for patient advocacy.

Gaines spoke to the growing demand for advocacy services in the health care industry and the increasing complexity of coverage during tough economic times. She also answered questions from listeners about the CPP’s offerings, which aims to train graduate and professional students in patient advocacy.
