Join the Global Legal Studies Center on Oct. 15 for “The Other Problem with State Religions: Buddhism, Constitutional Law and Why Monks Don't Drive Cars in Sri Lanka,” presented by Professor Benjamin Schonthal, University of Otago, New Zealand.

The presentation—based on chapter five of Professor Schonthal’s current book project—looks at an unexpected effect of constitutional protections for Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It takes place from 4-5 p.m. in Lubar Commons (7200 Law).
