The Wisconsin Innocence Project will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a program and reception at the UW Law School on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 4 p.m. in Godfrey and Kahn Hall (Room 2260).
To date, the work of the students and supervising attorneys at the Wisconsin Innocence Project has freed 12 wrongly convicted people.
In extending an invitation to Law School colleagues, Professors Keith Findley and John Pray, co-directors and founders of the project, noted, "Now in our 11th year, we pause to celebrate our first ten years, to commemorate the accomplishments of our students and clinical faculty, and to recognize our exonerees and the individuals who have contributed in especially important ways to our work."
