Lola Bovell

Lola Bovell, a student at University of Wisconsin Law School, has been named a 2014 Ms. JD Fellow.

Ms. JD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the success of aspiring and early career women lawyers. Fellows exhibit exemplary academic performance, leadership and dedication to advancing the status of women in the profession. In addition to being paired with a mentor, each fellow receives financial support and invitations to American Bar Association and Ms. JD events.

One of 17 students nationally to receive the honor, Bovell has served as the president of the Latino/a Law Student Association, membership chair of the Moot Court Board, and class representative for the Student Bar Association. She also participated in the Immigrant Justice Clinic.

Bovell is spending her summer as an intern at LatinoJustice PRLDEF, a national civil rights organization based in New York City. She will begin her third year of studies at UW Law School in September.
