The Center for Patient Partnerships was given the Community Service Award by the Wisconsin Cancer Council at the Council's annual awards program. 

The Wisconsin Cancer Council's Community Service Award recognizes organizations that serve or have programs focussing on cancer survivorship issues.

The Council also gave its Cancer Control Champion Award to the Center's director, Martha "Meg" Gaines.

Affiliated with the UW's Schools of Law, Medicine & Public Health, Nursing, and Pharmacy, the Center for Patient Partnerships trains graduate and professional students in patient advocacy.
