The Second Annual Terence T. Evans Humor and Creativity in Law Competition

The late Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Terence T. Evans was known for his vibrant opinions, often riddled with witticisms, sports analogies, popular culture references and intriguing trivia seamlessly integrated into his legal analysis. In honor of Judge Evans' prodigious talent and boundless wit, and to encourage those with similar minds, the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association (EDWBA) invites current law school students to participate in this competition.

The rules are few and simple:
• The entry must be your original work and must include words – prose, poems, moot court brief, resumes, or song. A visual component may also be included.
• The work must relate in some way to the law.
• 2,500 word limit.
• One entry per person.
• Must be a current student of Marquette University Law School or University of Wisconsin Law School.

The winner of the competition will receive a $500 cash prize, public recognition at the April 10, 2014, EDWBA Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, and publication of the entry in the EDWBA newsletter.
