2011 Best Brief Award

Brian McCall has won the 2011 Best Brief Award for the best appellate brief written in the fall 2011 Legal Research & Writing classes. The competition involved three separate evaluation stages. First, the Legal Research & Writing faculty selected the best briefs written in their sections. Next, these briefs were reviewed and ranked by three Wisconsin lawyers. Finally, the five briefs with the highest overall rankings were judged independently and ranked by Professors Cecelia Klingele, Meredith Ross, and Jason Yackee. The other finalists in the Best Brief competition were Abuko Estrada, Amber McReynolds, Ryan Nilsestuen, and Scott Rosenow.
