UW Law alumnae featured in Oprah magazine

Two UW Law School alumnae are featured in "O, The Oprah Magazine" for their unconventional community service organization.

Pamela Hart '02 and Megan Senatori '01 founded Sheltering Animals of Abuse Victims, or SAAV. In the article, Senatori explains that most domestic abuse shelters will not accept pets, and that many women delay leaving abusive relationships because they do not want to abandon their pets.

SAAV not only provides a home for such pets, it also works to raise awareness of the connection between animal abuse and domestic violence.

The "O" article is not available online, but is on newsstands now.
