UW Law Alumna Fran Ulmer '72 Tapped to Chair Arctic Research Commission

UW Law alumna Fran Ulmer has been nominated by President Obama to chair the Arctic Research Commission. Ulmer, who also earned her B.A. in Economics from the UW-Madison, is Chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage, Alaska's largest public university.

In announcing his intent to appoint Ulmer and others to key administration posts, President Obama said, “These dedicated and accomplished individuals will be valued additions to my Administration as we tackle the important challenges facing America. I look forward to working with them in the months and years ahead.”
