The Program in Real Estate, Land Use, and Community Development is a new multi-disciplinary program at the Law School designed with curricular, scholarly, and policy components to expand opportunities for students and faculty. Founded in 2010, the Program leverages the Law School's relationships with other entities on campus, including the School of Business and the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. For J.D. students interested in the fields of real estate, land use, or community development, the Law School offers a concentration program of required and elective courses starting in the second year of law school. The Program also will provide opportunities for students to work on legislative and policy matters through the Law School's new Legislative and Government Clinic. In addition to hosting a speaker series in 2010-11, the Program will sponsor workshops, symposia, and conferences in upcoming years. Professor Thomas W. Mitchell serves as the Faculty Director for the Program.
