Overview
In Fall 2002, the
Institute hosted the inaugural session of the Midwest Law and Society
Retreat, bringing together faculty and graduate students from the
midwest's diverse law and society programs for a weekend of
intellectual exchange and community building. The Retreat became a
biennial event, with sessions held in 2004, 2006 & 2008. The Retreat offers
participants an opportunity to share research, discuss professional
issues, receive feedback on works in progress, and develop future
projects with regional colleagues.
The next Retreat will take place Oct. 8-9, 2010
A Call for Proposals and Registration form will be posted in early 2010. While
it is likely the program will be filled by June, non-presenting
participants may still register until we reach maximum capacity. For
