For Grad Programs Students (regardless of your program)
If you are an international student who has an F-1 (or J-1) student visa, please carefully read the emails that you receive from the Graduate Programs Office regarding noting the expiration of your I-20 (or DS-2019) and also the completion of your program. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Pellett in the Graduate Programs Office promptly.
The University of Wisconsin has a set of rules for academic and non-academic misconduct. It is the responsibility of each student to be familiar with these rules. You are expected to become familiar with them by reading them and asking questions if there is anything you do not understand.
The Law School's Rules are extensive and can be found on the Law School's website, http://www.law.wisc.edu (follow link at the left "Law School Rules"). Many of these rules apply to students in the J.D. program, not to Graduate Program students. However, the general rules, such as those about attendance in class and exams, apply to all students at the Law School. If you are a Graduate Programs student who is taking one or more courses that will have an exam, then it is critical for you to read the rules pertaining to exams. You should understand the procedures that operate during the exam period and whom to contact if, for some reason, you need to rearrange your exam schedule.
For MLI Students
It is your responsibility to know the program completion requirements of the your program. Those of you who entered the program in the fall, are now entering the second semester of your program. Please review the program completion requirements now to make sure that you are fulfilling all requirements. If you have any questions, contact Ms. Pellett at the Graduate Programs office promptly.
