Keith Findley, as President of the National Innocence Network, testified in Washington, D.C., on November 10, 2009, before the Senate Judiciary Committee as it considered reauthorization of the Justice for All Act.
Included in the Act are the Innocence Protection Act and the Kirk Bloodsworth Postconviction DNA Assistance Program, which provides funding for efforts to use postconviction DNA testing to exonerate wrongly convicted individuals. Findley's testimony can be viewed here.
During the hearing, Wisconsin Senator Russ Fiengold spoke on the importance of the Wisconsin Innocence Project, of which Findley is co-director.
