Make The Transition From Law Student to Lawyer

Spring 2011 Career Services Workshops

Becoming a lawyer requires more than simply mastering the substantive law and the procedural rules.

Career Services has organized a series of workshops designed to help you in making the transition from law student to lawyer.  The workshops have been scheduled for times when there are few classes.  Many will take place at lunch and will feature pizza.

The workshops focus on three separate issues of professionalization:

  1. Exploring practice areas and practice settings
  2. Getting jobs
  3. Your professional life

You should plan to attend at least one workshop in each of these areas this semester.  Signing up is easy. If you aren’t able to attend in person, the sessions will be taped so you can take advantage of them at your convenience.
