Students in this course will gain experience analyzing and drafting documents normally encountered in a general law practice such as contracts, statutes and ordinances, advice letters, opinion letters, pleadings, motions, and interrogatories. Students will spend most of the in-class time writing and reviewing written materials and will submit in-class exercises geared toward improving accuracy, clarity, thoroughness, and readability. Grades will be based on five written assignments (all of which can be rewritten and resubmitted once), in-class exercises, and attendance and participation in class.
