Course Description

This seminar is focused on the law and policy of sentencing and corrections. It is designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in deep research and reflection on a topic of personal interest related to the course, culminating in a full length (30-40 page) research paper. Students are expected to engage with each other's work, commenting on drafts and presenting their own research several times during the semester. Supplemental readings will be assigned throughout the course to augment students' primary research on their selected topics.
