Posting a Job in the Job Bank

The University of Wisconsin Law School Career Services Office maintains an on-line Job Bank that is used by current students and UW Law graduates, as well as a number of non-alums who subscribe to our Job Bank.  All job openings we receive are entered into our Job Bank -- free of charge -- for whatever time period you specify. The Job Bank can be used for permanent, full-time positions (entry-level or lateral) and for summer clerkships, part-time positions, and one-time-only research projects.

To post a law-related job in our Job Bank, you may proceed in a number of different ways:

1)  Complete and submit the on-line Job Bank form; or

2)  E-mail your announcement to tfillbach@wisc.edu, or fax it to 608-265-6289; or

3)  If you frequently post jobs with us, you may want to utilize the Symplicity on-line system (described in the next paragraph).

We utilize the services of Symplicity, Inc. to manage our job postings and our on-campus interviewing programs.  Employers who post jobs with us on a regular basis, and/or who participate in our on-campus recruiting programs, may wish to register with Symplicity, which will enable them to post positions directly, and to register for on-campus interviews on line. To do this, you must first fill out an easy registration form on Symplicity.  After registering, you will receive a welcome e-mail message from the Career Services Office providing your log-in information and password.  After receiving the welcome email, simply follow the link and log on.  You will then be able to post your position and fill out your employer profile.

If, after submitting your registration, you receive the message "The email address you entered already exists in the system.  Please try again, or, if you have forgotten your password, try using the 'forgot password' function," it means that you were already entered into Symplicity in the transfer of employer data from our former job posting system.  You simply need to click the "Forgot Password" tab and enter your email address.  You will be sent a new password and will be able to access the system when you go to the Symplicity link.

If you already have a profile listed with another law school that uses Symplicity, you may use the "autofill" feature to copy that information to our system.

If you would like to register for Fall 2011 on-campus interviewing, please email your request to kemcmahan@wisc.edu or go to Symplicity and click on "Submit Schedule Request" on your home page and complete the easy form.

Follow this link -- Symplicity -- to begin the registration process.  At the sign-in screen, click on the "Register" tab and provide the information requested.

The Career Services staff looks forward to working with you in your recruiting efforts. If we can be of any assistance, please contact us. You can reach us Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by phone (608-262-7856), fax (608-265-6289), or e-mail tfillbach@wisc.edu.
