Fall and Spring On-Campus Interviewing

Madison is a beautiful, easily accessible city. It is 150 miles from downtown Chicago and an easy drive from O'Hare airport. Several major airlines serve Madison with direct flights from Chicago.

Our fall on-campus interviews take place during a two month period, generally beginning in mid to late August.  The first day of fall on-campus interviewing in 2012 will be Tuesday, August 21st.  Our procedure is 100% pre-select – i.e., we send you the résumés of the students who have expressed an interest in your firm, and you choose the students you would like to interview. There is no registration fee or other charge for you to participate in our fall on-campus interviews.

We utilize the services of Symplicity, Inc. to manage our on-campus recruiting programs.  Employers who participate in our on-campus recruiting programs may wish to register with Symplicity, which will enable them to request an interview date and register for OCI, view student resumes, and look at their interview schedules, on line.  To do this, you must first fill out an easy registration form on Symplicity.  After registering, you will receive a welcome e-mail message from the Career Services Office providing your log-in information and password.  After receiving the welcome email, simply follow the link and log on.  You will then be able to fill out your employer profile and click on "Submit Schedule Request" on your Symplicity home page to complete the easy fall OCI registration form.

If, after submitting your registration, you receive the message "The email address you entered already exists in the system.  Please try again, or, if you have forgotten your password, try using the 'forgot password' function," it means that you were already entered into Symplicity in the transfer of employer data from our former job posting system.  You simply need to click the "Forgot Password" tab and enter your email address.  You will be sent a new password and will be able to access the system when you go to the Symplicity link.

If you already have a profile listed with another law school that uses Symplicity, you may use the "autofill" feature to copy that information to our system.

Follow this link -- Symplicity -- to begin the registration process.  At the sign-in screen, click on the "Register" tab and provide the information requested.

If you prefer not to use Symplicity, please contact Trisha Fillbach at tfillbach@wisc.edu or Kate McMahan at kemcmahan@wisc.edu to register for our fall on-campus interviewing program.

If you prefer to interview later in the academic year, you are welcome to use one of the seven interview rooms in our Career Services Office. You can reserve one at your convenience by calling or emailing us.

If your firm is not able to conduct fall on-campus interviews in Madison, you nevertheless may be part of our fall interview process through our résumé collection procedure.

To use this service, send us information about your position, your hiring criteria, and the date by which you would like to receive résumés. (Feel free to email the information to us at tfillbach@wisc.edu.) We will list you as a fall recruiting firm, notify our students about your job or clerkship, collect résumés from interested students, and forward the résumés to you as a group by the deadline you specify.

We look forward to working with you in your recruiting efforts. If we can be of any assistance, please contact us. You can reach us Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by phone, fax, or email.
